We were so glad that Kiel could make it home for Halloween. We went to the pumkin patch and had a great time trick or treating.

Play Catch Up

I know it has been a while since my last post. SORRY! We have ben busy little bees at our house. Kiel has been working in California since the end of April so I have been playing it solo. Drew's grandma is living with us right now and is able to watch him during the day which has been helpful. We have also been working on a lot of different stepping stones that have taken a lot of attention. We have in the past month mastered potty training (Thank you for your patience Grandma), moved Drew into a big boy bed and are doing very well with the alphabet. He is talking so much and so well. I can't believe how easy these transitions have been. I am kind of scared that it is the calm before the storm. So we will see how he is the closer he gets to three. We have also experienced some firsts. Over the Memorial weekend Drew went to the Shark Reef for the first time. He loved it! Anything to do with animals is always the best to him. Just this las t weekend the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Baily Circus was in town. So we went with my mom, Chad and Garrett. It had been so long since I had been to the circus. He had a lot of fun. He has grown so much in the past couple of months. He is a little boy now, not a baby anymore. I know that everyone is probably wanting new photos. I will get them up soon. I just had a moment at work so I thought that I would at least get you all updated.

Pee Pee in the Potty

Yeah! This is what we have been singing this weekend. Drew finally peed in the potty twice this weekend. We are so excited! He was so proud of himself! Hopefully we can get rid of the diapers soon! He is growing up so fast these days. He is talking so much and understands so much. He has also figured oout how to climb out of his crib, so it looks like we will be transfering him to a toddler bed soon.

BAKING!

This weekend was the first chance I have had to do some baking. It just doesn't feel like Christmas with out having family over and making cookies. I was able to spend some time with my mom and chad on Friday night making Grandma Audrey's farmhouse cookie dough. They have to cool overnight so I didn't get to make them until Saturday, but they sure are yummy. It was fun to have my parents to myself, it doesn't happen very much anymore. It really did make me miss my sister though. On Saturday Kiel's family came over and we made chocolate chip cookies, a gingerbread train, and some chocolate candies. We had a great time. It was nice to be surrounded by family for the weekend, especially coming into the final stretch before Christmas.

I know you won't believe it that is why I am adding photos, but it snowed in Las Vegas!! We do live close to Mt Charleston and that is why we got so much snow, but it was still pretty cool to have snow. There was between 4 and 6 inches depending on where you were at. All I can say is it has to be freezing to get snow! I don't remember it ever being that cold in Vegas. The temp that my car was reading was 38 degrees!

Last Saturday was Kiel's birthday so played pool with his family and friends. Then we went back to his sisters and had cake (his mom baked it for him). It was nice to go out without Drew. It has been a while!

Boulder City Park

A couple of weekends ago Garrett spent the night with us. So we decided to go to the park out in Boulder City to show Drew the bighorn sheep and have A&W for lunch. We had a great time. Drew loves to play on the swing and slide. Kiel and Garrett had fun throwing the football. We started a game of horse on the basketball court and it was obvious that short people should not play basketball.

Family Vacation!!

At the beginning of the month we took our yearly family vacation and went to California to visit some of Kiel's family and go to Disneyland! We also took him to the Long Beach Aquarium and he was able to pet some of the stingrays and little sharks. We had a great time! Drew was wonderful even though we did a lot of driving. He had a great time at Disneyland even though it was limited on what he could ride! we can't wait to take him back in a couple of years! here are some pics from the adventure!

Name and Meaning: Drew Daniel Tebbs, Drew comes from the greek name Andrew meaning valiant and courageous. I didn't know that until I just looked it up, but that definitely suits him. Daniel is also Kiel's middle name and is linked to his grandpa, great grandpa and great-great grandpa.

Age: He will be two in 24 days!!

Nicknames: drewper and monster

Favorite activities: being outside playing, motorcycles, watching motorcycles, motorcycle video games, dancing, and playing with the dog.

Favorite foods: any fruit or vegetable, pasta, chicken, and anything else he can get his hands on!

Least favorite foods: I haven't found one yet! He eats everything!

Music: He loves anything with a good beat! He loves to dance and he sings in the car.

Favorite toys: motorcycles, cars, balls, skateboards, and tools! ( he is all boy)

Favorite books: anything with a motorcycle (or car, something with an engine. he likes to make that sound) or animals.

What makes him happy: wearing dad's hats, playing with mom and dad, motorcycles (he is obsessed), being outside, taking baths and brushing his teeth.

What makes him sad: when mom or dad leave without him, getting his diaper changed, being told "no"and not being able to carry around the toothbrush all day.

Our trip to Mt. Charleston

Our cute little family!

It is finally starting to cool down here in Vegas so we decided to take a trio up to Mt. Charleston and have a picnic. Drew and Sadie loved the ride. Drew and Dad played football while Mom and Sadie went for a walk. It was alot colder than I had expected so we didn't stay long.

It has been a long time coming, but we finally have a family vehicle that is safe and has enough room for all of us!! We were so glad to see the S10 go. Kiel was very excited because this is the first brand new car he has ever had!!

Kiel has been working on a construction site for the past month. He ended up working on a Saturday, so we took him lunch. Drew is always so fascinated by all of Kiel's tools, so Kiel took him on the scissor lift. At first Drew was not sure about it, but then he wanted to keep going for rides once we took him off. Here are some cute pics.

BOWLING

Here are some pics from Drew's first time bowling. We have taken him to the bowling alley before, but have never let him bowl. There was no getting out of letting him bowl too this trip. He absolutely loved it! However, taking turns was not as big of a hit! We made it thru, hopefully the next trip will go a little smoother. (Notice Drew has a new haircut!)

Kiel's sisters have been in town this summer and when Kelly came to pick them up Drew was able to stay with them for a couple of days to play! They went swimming, out to lunch and to the Adventure Dome at Circus Circus! Here are some pics of them having fun!

Well it is obviously going to take sometime getting used to having a blog. I will try to remember to post more often. I hope that everyone had a good Father's Day! Kiel was actually off that whole weekend! It was so nice to have him home! Drew loves to spend time with his dad! And anything Dad does he does too! We also went to my brothers graduation! I can't believe it! It makes me feel old! Congrats Garrett! We are proud! Here are some new pics for you to see! Hope all is well!

Well I have decided that since we have family spread out all over that I would begin a blog so that if I don't get pictures out to everyone often you will see our little guy grow and know what our family is doing! It is hard to always be able to keep in touch so I thought that this might help. Also I have set up an email account for our family so that we can send pictures and chat with you!
